@jeffsussna @anilkseth I’m against all forms of manipulation, but this is a Pandora box that has been opened. I don’t see why we can’t use what we are learning for good, rather than evil. If it’s possible, I’d rather encourage learning more, not less.

@jeffsussna @anilkseth 3. (and most importantly) The capability to predict the human behavior doesn’t have to nefarious at all costs. It has been exploited in a negative way so far, but why can’t we apply all we are learning and predicting to nudge humans in more positive way for a better society?

@jeffsussna @anilkseth 2. It’s naive to ask that we stop making predictions about human behavior when we perfectly know that some global actors will do it anyway. By not refining our prediction capabilities, we simply cede a competitive advantage to somebody else (to be used against us).

@jeffsussna @anilkseth 1. Who said that humans are not “pieces of technology”? As long as we don’t fully understand all details of human behavior, I think nobody can conclusively say we are not machines.

Exploring this new Clubhouse social network. Somebody has been kind enough to share an invitation with me. Methinks we are going full circle. I expect a new startup coming up any minute announcing that they invented the “phone call”.

@jhpot I’m glad to see you included BusyCal. Not the prettiest but the most powerful of the bunch, by far. I used it for years to deal with very complex business schedules over multiple timezones.
