Over the years, slowly, silently, unnoticeably, Apple Notes has become my only, must-have note-taking app. I hate the design, yet it now offers folders and subfolders, and support for drawings. But it won first and foremost because it’s ubiquitous and access is frictionless.

If you own a platform and you don’t add assets to it because you can’t monetise them in the short term, you are phenomenally shortsighted.
