Revenue modelling is exceptionally hard. You don’t appreciate how hard it is to build the castle of assumptions you have to make to get to the numbers until you do it yourself. And if you have somebody that does it for you, that person probably isn’t thanked enough.

If, after a long, intense meeting, you hear me closing with the statement “”Wow, that was a long walk”, blame @JeffCHawkins’ A Thousand Brains.

Question for a #CIO, his/her direct reports, and/or any other IT leader considering the adoption of #AI to solve a business problem: What is the most pressing question you have that still remain unanswered today?

Reading @JeffCHawkins’ “A Thousand Brains” after @kahneman_daniel’s “Noise” was very interesting. The former provided an unexpected context for many of the findings in the latter. Now I’m just waiting for @anilkseth’s “Being You” to see if more unexpected connections can be made.

And, as I said recently, I also recommend this book to any data scientist and machine learning engineer that is interested in a contrarian approach to designing #AI.

Overall, this is a must-read book if you are interested in a novel and contrarian idea about how the brain works and what intelligence is all about. I recommend focusing on part 1, then continue by reading the research papers, and only after, as optional, read parts 2 and 3. https://t.co/ACItMhQW3K
