Impact and effectiveness of certain presentations is not measured by the immediate comments received off stage, but by the outcome of a chain reaction that those presentations trigger. Sometimes, you have to wait a full year before you realise ineffectiveness despite compliments.

How is that people across geographies and industries all marvel at the @Apple narrative style and then they do the exact opposite when they build their own presentations?

Building a presentation boils down to making a call on how you want to tell a story.
You need to make hard decisions about what to focus on and how to say it.
You cannot tell everything to everybody. That is a recipe for disaster.

Today and tomorrow I’ll be at the #AppSecEU in London. Very interested in how the European security community reacts to certain presentations.

Exactly @CaseyNewton, exactly > “It’s been four years now since Slack arrived to kill email — and yet, email persists.” > Slack didn’t kill email — and it might have made it stronger https://t.co/Mwqs2WB6yf

Given all past news and patents, I expected @amazon to be the first at launching something like this, @johnbiggs. If it’s accurate and scalable, it’s the beginning of the end for retail as we know it > Original Stitch’s new Bodygram will measure your body https://t.co/n3bEcU1AOO

I’ve been experimenting a bit with Facebook & Instagram. It’s clear to me that my contacts don’t see my posts when I publish them but only later. Not only we are losing the capability to see things in real time. We are also losing control of when to say the things we want to say.
