Eventually, somebody will start marketing #AI as a way to cut costs (by eliminating human workers) rather than as a way to improve task accuracy.

On a side note: given how easily the brain adapts to new stream of information, I am not sure that “just wiring” wouldn’t turn into involuntary cognitive augmentation. Once you have ultrafast access to wikipedia, how often would you check it?

Every year an email client dies and I find myself here complaining about the fact that development is not driven by a deep understanding of how the brain processes information at scale. Email volume will keep growing. If you don’t design for that, you are DOA.

Notice how consumer tech vendors focus on keeping us online by suggesting yet another topic rather than helping to better understand the topic we are already dealing with. Enterprise tech vendors try to do the exact opposite.

The approach seems entertaining vs. problem-solving.
