See, the problem with the extreme market speed we experience these days is that most people develop a strategy to address today’s demand. If that strategy gets years to be executed, and you didn’t account for market changes, you are DOA.

Problem is that #1 doesn’t work with Oreo (so not in new phones). #2 only works with root (so not in new phones). And #3 alone is not enough to compensate the OS instability that you suffer when moving to Android.

Hence, I’m afraid my adventure with Android is near the end.

For me, Android competitive advantage over iOS boils down to 3 elements, all related to UI customization:

1. Richer notifications (via Floatify)
2. Replacement of nav buttons with gestures (via GMD)
3. Custom icon grid (via Nova)

They seem small, but they make HUGE difference.
