@cloudpundit There are a lot of *must* that don’t take into account the human nature and its limits. No strategy is a great strategy if it cannot be implemented.

And anyway, it’s not what’s the demand I’m talking about.

@AmitabhSinha Not even in silicon valley. Nobody can be young (or even old) AND productive AND a SME in all those areas, especially considering the pace of innovation for each of them.

We are now asking developers to:

– be SMEs in extremely complex architecture offerings like the AWS
– be IT ops
– be data scientists
– be security pros

It’s unrealistic, and unfair to them. And it won’t work.

Couldn’t agree more.

Without a long term vision, even the most effective strategy leaves you defenceless against changing market conditions and newcomers.

Without a clear idea of what you think will come next and what’s your role in that, you’re forever a follower and eventually you die.
