@chamath What I’ve seen in 21y so far:

Concentrated power if leader is product/strategy person.
Distributed power if leader is sales/mktg person.

Local decisions where creativity & culture matter: mktg, sales, research.
Hierarchical decisions where rigor matters: product, engineering.
