Good speakers build a personal relationship with the audience and develop a personal brand that lifts the corporate brand they represent whenever on stage.

Forcing good speakers to talk for 90min impacts their performance and in turn the opportunity for the corp brand to shine

Also, it’s especially concerning when the length of a presentation is decided by somebody that has never been (or rarely been) on stage, and without consulting with people are always on stage.

TED’s core business is delivering world-class presentations about groundbreaking ideas. And they have been doing it for 16y under @TEDchris. What are the chances that you know better about the optimal length of a presentation?

There’s a very good reason why @TEDTalks are maximum 18min long. It doesn’t matter what industry you belong to and what’s the job title of your audience. The human brain is always the same. 60min presentations are useless. 90min presentations are a waste of everybody’s time.

We learned very little from the failures of general purpose enterprise platforms that lack use case focus.

I see we are already making the same mistakes.

While #AI in consumer space is disrupting/creating new markets, AI in the enterprise will fail miserably if vendors don’t understand a simple thing: customers have a proprietary data set and want to use it to enable a business case. Everything in between is not their problem.
