@mayunkj @TEDTalks I’m afraid I have to disagree. I’ve seen a few attempts, the most notable from MSFT Build and O’Reilly AI Conference. In both cases, the shorter slot, paired to lack of speaker’s training on how to use it, led to a mostly empty session, terminated even earlier than available time

Many conferences are finally trying to cut the session slots to 30min or less, following the @TEDTalks model. But less talking doesn’t imply more effective or engaging. TED prepares the speakers for months. Without that investment, a shorter session is just as bad as a long one.
