When it was announced, people didn’t want the iPhone. Even less they wanted the cutting edge tech that powered the iPhone. Ppl wanted a way to connect on the go (that didn’t suck).
Connect on the go was the business problem.
(that didn’t suck) was the competitive differentiation.
