You put too much faith in technology. The right tech can increase talent output, but it’s not a replacement for talent. Tools/systems/architectures/patterns used by talented teams are not a differentiator per se. We have seen it with both open source and public cloud for 10y now.

– Let’s adopt operational framework X to do thing 1. It’s already being used by top companies A, B and C.
– But A, B and C are highly dysfunctional at thing 1
– Yeah, but maybe there are other problems.

If a framework doesn’t consider the human nature, it’s not a good framework
