1/ I try to buy most things online. For clothing, I buy 2 sizes and return the wrong one. This weekend I had the unfortunate need to visit a number of traditional shops for a series of urgent things. More than ever, I am convinced that traditional retail shopping is dying:

It’s critical to remember that a “digital transformation” is not inherently good. I have seen many real world examples of companies that have digitalised their services through ineffective tech and/or poor design choices. A bad DT investment only makes you bad at scale.

@davemcclure It sounds doable on paper. In practice, I see it every day, it’s overwhelmingly complex. To the point that suggesting a confirmation bias is at work produces an immediate denial even from those people that understand and appreciate the science behind it. /cc @GaryMarcus

I have been testing an iPad Pro 2018 with iOS 13 beta for over a couple of months now. We finally got to a point where working on the iPad is more productive (aka faster/cheaper at executing tasks) than a desktop in a significant number of situations. Close to 100% replacement.
