Disney almost bought Twitter. Hard to imagine the latter used as it is used today, if controlled by the former. And hard to imagine who could mitigate the issues that Disney didn’t feel confident to.

Nobody can explain *and sell* the idea that fuels a startup like a founder. It’s not just because he/she has developed the idea in the first place. It’s because he/she believes in the idea more than anybody else.

Architectures and environments and processes are way more complicated in the enterprise space than in the consumer space, but how people feel about and react to ideas is exactly the same.

Many believe that enterprise orgs are abstract and complex entities that will absorb whichever complexity is thrown at them. That’s a myth. In my career, I only saw enterprises made of people. And people react to simple and understandable messages, just like in the consumer space

@robfreeborn @keenan Even if you are actually solving a problem, a message that is too difficult to understand for your sales force (your #1 customer, always) will either not reach the prospect (only few will want to articulate something that they don’t feel confident about) or reach them and fail.
