@mpshanahan There is so much material emerging on this topic that I created a section of Synthetic Work dedicated to it and called “How Do You Feel?”

I think we have seen nothing yet.
I also think that many humans will not want to be good at administering the Garland Test.

I’m reading about all the services that are implementing #GPT4 and I can’t help but think that we have began a lipstick-on-a-pig operation at planetary scale. The disappointment once people find out what’s behind that lipstick will be equally enormous.

Testing the new photographic mockups for Apple devices from @pixelmator, my favourite graphic design software. They look absolutely amazing. https://t.co/rEWUGx25iI

LLMs are not a good replacement for search. Not in their current form, at least. But you know what I think Apple would really love to do? Getting rid of Google from its 1.5B active iPhones.

The more #AI progress gets announced, and especially w the launch of #GPT4, the more I’m convinced that the mission I defined for Synthetic Work is right. What I am learning on the impact of AI on our jobs & society is something that every non-tech person should pay attention to.

And now that you have tried GPT-4, it’s time to resurface this question. https://t.co/ENXU66SS0n

To all the pedantic people that have complained *for months* that you cannot say “AIs” because there’s only one “AI”: here, let me know if you recognize this face.

(and this is just one example of a world-class expert saying “AIs”. I have a collection of those) https://t.co/EipLTWXCeY
