This is a 3D printer. It prints teeth. It’s not a frame from the video of some technology innovation reportage. It’s a real machine, in use at a real dentist practice, in the UK.

It will require a broad adoption of some of the tech I research on https://t.co/vsOnfgvwOg, neural interfaces, which today still sound far fetched. But if you believe that tech will come, then the idea of a “thought economy” is not too outlandish.

This piece made me think that the inevitable next step after “attention economy” is “thought economy”. It’ll still be about attention, but it will attempt to monetize how much you think about something rather than how much you act on it.
