@AndiMann @jpmorgenthal The notion that IT is somewhat still in its early days and manually crafted like a pair of artisanal shoes (I’m Italian, what do you expect), lacking the rigour and tooling of #automation, is not something I expect people to accept without mixed feelings.

On stage and in customer meetings, I keep saying: without #automation, human professionals (no matter if IT ops or devs) won’t be able to win 3 challenges of modern IT:

1. Scale of infrastructures
2. Complexity of app architectures
3. Speed of #AI

My controversial statement of the week has been “For the most part, the IT industry still still in an artisanal phase. Public cloud providers were the first introducing a discipline and a systematic adoption of #automation, leading the way towards a still far industrial phase”
