Trust the data but don’t accept the data blindly.

You can tell somebody to articulate the business value of technology, not the technology itself, as much as you want. If he/she is not a natural, he/she needs education.

Hiring a few business-oriented people is not effective enough.

A point that doesn’t seem clear yet: #AI is the ONLY force multiplier democratic enough and game changing enough to give even the smallest startup a chance to disrupt a giant competitor.

The dataset is the only weak point. Access to datasets must be protected at all costs.

Strategy: high level plan to achieve n goals under conditions of uncertainty. It typically involves 2 processes: formulation (analyzing situation, making diagnosis, developing guiding policies) & implementation (action plans taken to achieve goals established by guiding policy)

Seeding an idea in the mind of a 10,000 people company is not an easy feat. And it can take years.

New rule: for every “yes” you say, you must also say 10 “no”.

@sallamar There are not “strategies”. There’s one strategy. Apparently always the wrong one, given the rate of failures I kept hearing in my career so far.

We have to ask “why” and say “no” more often.
