For 2y now I suggested that the “subscribe-everything” model is unsustainable in the long term. This is one of the first cracks. Eventually, we’ll have to realise that we produce and consume way more than we can afford > Subscription hell by @dannycrichton https://t.co/is6Vn24awy

I often complain that we ask too much to developers as they can’t be experts in everything, including security and #AI. The same is true for data scientists. https://t.co/B1KPveFoSX

It works in this way:

1. build new tech A that reinvents the wheel but worse
2. market it as hard as you can to gain massive traction
3. force tech B, C, D, etc, no matter how unrelated, inside tech A to avoid they gain their own traction
4. restart when tech A not cool anymore

I’m reading reports that say things like “#Automation and #AI will go hand in hand”.

Absolutely not.

Best inspiration for my work always comes from books that have nothing to do with my job. Especially about natural and social sciences.

I wish you to read far & wide, well beyond your area of expertise, to connect unexpected dots and discover ideas you didn’t know you could have

Proud to have delivered another weird keynote in #Seoul last week.
Yes, that’s burning pasta. No, it wasn’t about the top 10 mistakes in Italian cuisine.
Yes, this picture is now featured in most Korean IT news outlets. No, I am not fired (yet). https://t.co/vkfySc8weY
