The @Accenture #OpenSlava conference in Bratislava was a blast. Reporting that @Ansible is the 7th most contributed open source project on GitHub (out of 96M) in front of 1,500 attendees made me smile.

Now off to Boston for a @RedHat strategy offsite.

In the wonderful video “Humans Need Not Apply”, talking about #automation stealing jobs, @cgpgrey compared humans to horses.

@panasonic took it literally. https://t.co/UMdUG8EVVC

Considering how often we unlock our phones on daily basis, a folding phone would be highly impractical, unless there’s a 3rd screen for when it’s folded or the 2nd screen is outside the fold, not inside > Folding iPhone: Another Apple patent granted: https://t.co/Vf5F9adNTG

I bet that if you put a person in front of a continuous stream of interesting content, that person will stop doing everything but consuming the stream.

This is a great review of what smartphones have unlocked, not of this specific phone per se. But, again, nobody seems to realise that humans are designed to consume information > The Google Pixel 3 Is A Very Good Phone. But Maybe Phones Have Gone Too Far. https://t.co/lWdY1S5tQ3

@mayunkj @TEDTalks Without training, and enough time to craft the narrative, a speaker used to 1h slots and forced into a 20-30min one, always performs much worse in my experience so far.

@mayunkj @TEDTalks Or sessions where the speaker rushed 1h content into 20-30min, spending 10 of them in apologising because the pace too fast.

@mayunkj @TEDTalks I’m afraid I have to disagree. I’ve seen a few attempts, the most notable from MSFT Build and O’Reilly AI Conference. In both cases, the shorter slot, paired to lack of speaker’s training on how to use it, led to a mostly empty session, terminated even earlier than available time

It couldn’t be a better time to double down and launch @Ansible Security Automation.
