be careful with how you interpret industry research and always investigate for more. Researchers often omit reporting subtle details that make no difference for an end-user org perspective, but that could completely jeopardise a vendor strategy.

“Alexa? Set an alarm for 4.30pm”
“Is it 4.30 in the morning, or in the afternoon?”
“Afternoon”
“Alarm set for midday tomorrow.”

3/ Entire BUs end up viewing the world through the lens of positioning pieces, speculations, and gossips rather than through the interactions with real doers. And even when that happens, the biased developed by vendor-focused content is insurmountable.

2/ Too often these days, what’s written is only interesting for IT vendors, generating a spiral of delusion, reality distortion and competition paranoia. The way #CIOs and their reports think about certain problems is miles away from the way vendors convince themselves about.
