With the new Sign In button and the iOS 13 keyboard features Apple is undermining Facebook and Google visibility into user activities. The only reason why I use both FB single sign on and GBoard is their extreme convenience. I’m happy to replace them less privacy invasive options

@cbredesen If this scenario would be broadly recognized as a crime, both social media platforms and individual users uploading videos would be held accountable today. Which, in turn, means social media platforms would not allow deepfakes uploads.
@peterl It’s a situation where a deepfake can reach a limited audience and can be verified as non-authentic before it has an impact. It’s also an unlikely situation (how many video confessions did you see in your life?) that would be suspicious. I am not concerned about that.
