On paper, these trends represent an enormous competitive advantage. Constantly online should mean constantly exposed to information, constantly building knowledge. But no. Most of this time is not spent learning new skills, reading non-novel books, exploring new perspectives.

@mccrory I think this is becoming a common problem in western countries. Because of their background, tech news outlets are becoming better at highlighting privacy issues and tech-relared investigative journalism than traditional media
