I think I have seen nothing in my career as opaque as vendors claiming to adopt #AI. I analysed hundreds of them in the last 3 years. The ones that show published academic research on the subject on their website is close to zero.

Conclusions:
1. Industry research on #AI is superficial
2. Never a definition was more misleading than “AIOps”
3. To find valuable applications for AI you must be a subject matter expert in the use case, not in AI.

In your pursuing for a Frictionless IT, what are you doing at the engineering level? It’s useless to elect the mission if your engineers believe and insist that more options, more complexity, more moving parts is better.

In an engineering-driven organization, you better surround yourself with engineers that deeply understand and embrace the perspective of end users. Only in that way, you can deliver a Frictionless IT. Those orgs have the ticket for the 1 Trillion dollar club.
