@cdaffara The integration of these BYOS solutions with corporate IT would be a class of solutions on its own. Think about the Zapier, IFTTT, Flow of the world, at a deeper level.

20 years ago, the BYOD model was inconceivable. Today it has become the norm in many orgs around the world.
In a sense, shadow IT is an unsanctioned “bring your own software” model. But what if tomorrow it becomes the norm, too, and enterprise software as we know it disappears?

If you manage to build the perception that your product is a precious commodity, all of a sudden the political positions and security concerns re cloud vs. on-premises go away.

Kudos to @Microsoft: in a room full of #CIOs that DON’T / CAN’T adopt public cloud (for people in Silicon Valley: yep, they exist), almost everybody has Office 365. Absolutely exceptional. The comments? Even better: “Oh Office 365 is not really a cloud decision. It’s commodity”.
