To #startup founders: I’ve seen companies building tools for the left of the curve but market them to the right of the curve. They don’t sell. A risk-averse large enterprise isn’t attracted by the things that appeal neophiliacs.

To #startup founders: I met dozens of PR firms in 20y of career. Almost all are publicists. If you find a PR firm that does actual public relations, keep it. It’s invaluable. They might look all the same to you but they are not.

#CIOs have to ask themselves for how long they are going to keep the solution they are considering adopting. If it’s for long term then a technical assessment is close to useless. It tells you nothing about the people, the strategies, and the politics that make or break a product

In the last 2.5y, while we were working on #Ansible Security Automation, I’ve seen 4 SOAR acquisitions and half a dozen new vendors that use security automation and/or orchestration in different ways. Happy to see how hot this market is and I wish the best to all players.

We have lost the capability to be outraged. That’s why quality of service has gotten worse and worse, and we have lost our privacy, no matter how much we pay for goods and services.

So @LinkedIn is now saying that, to report SPAM, you should memory two very long URLs rather than do one click report from the app, as it has always been. What are you doing, @Microsoft? https://t.co/LagVMN9pPh

Interestingly, @LinkedIn doesn’t allow you to report spammers anymore. Not that it has ever decreased the level of spam on the platform. But you are welcome to memorize the whole ToU and complain if a legal aspect is not respected. What are you doing, @Microsoft? https://t.co/A7IbbzMdjG

“If you tell your competition your tactics, they’ll steal them and it will cost you. But if you tell them your strategy, it won’t matter. Because they don’t have the guts or the persistence to turn your strategy into their strategy.” – This is Marketing (Seth Godin)
