@sallamar 2. Regardless of #1, a corp needs to formally allocate time for learning. I have never seen that either. Not even in an industry analysis firm, where it’s all about mastering your discipline. Hence learning time is stolen from other activities. Pressure is not just bc post-mortem

1. Learning is either an attitude or an acquired behaviour. The former requires hiring certain profiles the hiring managers don’t necessarily look for. The latter requires a strictly enforced discipline, which I have never seen in corps.

#CIOs heard all sort of calls for digital transformation from IT vendors and industry analysts. But that’s just a technology perspective. It’d be useful to understand what management consultants tell them. Read @bainAlerts and @McKinsey perspectives on DT and see a big disconnect
