Celebrate the people you learn from often and loudly because it’s not a given. I come from a place (geographically and financially) where not in a million years I’d have a chance to directly access the knowledge that some people have generously shared online.

You have to be truly generous to share your knowledge as openly as @paulg has done over the years. In 43 years, he’s the one person I learned the most from (after my parents). Online, for free, about dynamics/markets/jobs I didn’t know anything about.

And I don’t even know him.

Research should be focused on asking the hard questions. If it focuses on the easy questions, it means that either the landscape is incredibly confusing or the research is poor quality. The former is a bad sign for market adoption.
