@dpapini Coincidentally, this is one of the two books that changed my life.

5 January 1914 – Ford Motor Company introduces the 8-hour workday.

Literally everything has changed compared to that context and those needs. Yet, out of inertia and fear, we insist on that same approach.

An unnecessary self-inflicted pain.

What is the book that changed your life? (not novels or religious texts)

@AngryLib3000 @telegram Maybe. Even if so:

1. Once you open the gate…

2. Advertising requires targeting to be compelling in 2021 (otherwise advertisers go to Facebook) and targeting requires profiling. Even if it’s just in public channels.

That’s enough for me to stop investing in that platform.

@AngryLib3000 @telegram Yes, and used it a lot. But Telegram will start injecting ads into chats from this year, and that is not a business model that I appreciate.

(also, as popular as Telegram is, it’s still far from displacing ubiquitous Whatsapp according to what I see among friends and colleagues)

@josheac @Apple @iTunes Agree. But, to be fair, iTunes never was a great software even on macOS

The reason why we are all forced to use Whatsapp (something I resisted for years) is that @Apple stubbornly refuses to release iMessage for Android and Windows. Signal still too small userbase >
