We are slowly getting into a situation where publishing companies (even in the form of social media networks) will only publish the content *we* write, and we’ll have to pay for the privilege of consuming it.

Generative AI will accelerate this enormously.

This week’s Splendid Edition of Synthetic Work (out tomorrow) will be about the impact of AI on the Publishing industry. After the things I’ve been researching, I’m not sure anymore about how much published content will be generated by human journalists in the future.
