How did people feel when impressionism was born? What about cubism? Or conceptual art?

How did they know it would be real vs. a fad?

It’s a fascinating time to be an #art collector.

I have collected #art for years now. Sculpture, painting and etching, literature, poetry and music.

Yet, studying how art evolved over the millennia didn’t prepare me to witness (and confidently evaluate) the transformation we’re seeing these days in terms of digital art & #NFTs

What is the book that changed your life? (not novels or religious texts)

@rationalpsyche I tried to build that in first place (if > 280 char then convert in a picture with certain characteristics), but you have no idea how complicated is to achieve it without creating a fully-featured server-side program (which I don’t want to do).

@mccrory @sallamar I’m still on Chapter 3 (and this is just one book). I assume more information will be necessary to answer this in a cogent way.

For now, in full ignorance, I’d assume that at least 195 (1 per country) can be valid at the same time…

@jeffsussna @sallamar If all of this is accurate (personally, I have more faith in anthologists than in economists), the whole notion of “crypto currencies are a big scam because, among other things, they are not backed by a tangible value like gold or silver” must be completely questioned.
