I understand and admire the attempt to find analogies that would resonate with a broad, non-technal audience. But then, regardless of how successful, I don’t understand why every #web3 company out there has incomprehensible websites clearly designed only for other insiders.

If the goal is planetary adoption (it is), then there’s significantly more that must be done to remove confusion. The current jargon seems an obvious starting point. #web3 is much easier than what was used before, but for from enough.
The good news is that a ton could be done.

Speaking as a former creator, this is a critical point.
If the network doesn’t increase your exposure in a tangible way, you should rather invest in your own platform (website, RSS, newsletter, etc).
BTW: bigger customer base doesn’t = bigger exposure. Just more noise. https://t.co/5XRSAoXDP4

The value of a network for a creator is in finding more people that want to consume what you have created.
Help me build/find my tribe, to borrow a term from Seth Godin.
From this standpoint, the major social networks of today have down an awful job so far.

This is the only computer I grew up with before, years later, my father brought home an 8080 PC.
At the time, he was working in Texas and so this was all I ever knew.
I didn’t see a picture of it for 25 years. Thanks for the trip down the memory @retrorandrs and @0xF2 https://t.co/3xQgXWVfVe

Hard to believe that in 2022 I still need to explain what strategic thinking and strategic positioning are, but so be it: https://t.co/f9GA6xrPXB

Last weekend, I recommended some soul searching after reading a WSJ article on TikTok stars making more money than CEOs. This weekend, if you have nothing better do to, the US Federal Reserve published this paper about digital currencies and central banks:

In the history of money, which I published much about in the last couple of weeks, governments typically take control of virtual or physical currencies exchanged between private citizens within one generation. Now, 2022 is not Middle Ages China, but still impressive.
