9/ There are a lot of *valid* reasons to explore #web3 technologies, but “regaining control from mega-corp central authorities” is not one of them.

If that was really the case, the replacement of search engines like Google would be the #1 problem for the community to solve.

3/ To put things in perspective, here’s an example: leading industry research about #web3 is more incomprehensible (to non-experts) than academic research about neuroscience. After reading hundreds of papers about the latter, I didn’t think it would be possible.

1/ One of the biggest challenges I see in the #web3 ecosystem is that everything (products/services, websites, industry research) is built/written by experts for experts.

Removing that friction to facilitate general consumption will be a herculean effort.

2/ I spent 7y talking about friction in enterprise sw. That is nothing compared to what I’m seeing in the #web3 ecosystem.

If web3 really is about people regaining control of their data and finance, making things as accessible as possible for everybody should be an imperative.

I really hope @vivaldibrowser will support Shortcuts because there’s so much that I cannot do at the moment.
