Every week I ask the following question: “What is the book that changed your life?” and then I publish the answers I get.
The last 3:

– The Talent Code

One of the most important articles to read these days. There’s a growing malcontent that has been brewing for quite some time. I’m really looking forward to seeing what @mxcl and @teaxyz_ will release. >

@tomfgoodwin @asymco I can only speak with confidence about the industry I know well: Enterprise IT. And I’d assume that in some industries (e.g., fashion) marketing still is in charge of the big picture questions.

So maybe it’s a matter of who asks those questions in the other industries? Nobody?

What is the book that changed your life? (not novels or religious texts)

@tomfgoodwin @asymco Often time (and this happens in Enterprise IT, too, to an extent), companies defer the answer to those questions to industry analyst firms. I worked as an analyst for a leading one long enough to know the dynamic well.

Perhaps other industries rely on analysis firms, too?
