When I want to mention a topic on social media, I always have a sense of how deep & articulated my position is. If I think that I have lots to say about X, I refrain from publishing a tweet, postponing my comment to a time when I can write a long-form blog post. That’s the trap.

So I’m always in doubt. Is it better to use social media as a stream of consciousness channel, or is it better to refrain and write sporadical but deeper essays?

Because the time to write the long-form blog post might come weeks or months later, or never. It takes an enormous amount of time to write something valuable. But maybe it’s better. Maybe it’s better to speak less and more thoroughly, like we used to do before frictionless comm.
