Like everything else we tell each other, a business document is a story. And if you don’t have clear the narrative form of the story (what elements to mention, why, how they interlock and in what order), you are in for 2 full rewrites. Don’t start writing until the flow is clear.

@0xF2 I’d love to read the actual research. For inexplicable reasons, I tend to be sceptical of a study focused on the answers of 150 privileged MBA students. It’s not the only sample in the entire research, but a good reminder that research methodology is a critical context.
