Until a certain type of neural interfaces arrives (which you know it’s far away if you have explored my H+ – https://t.co/vsOnfgvwOg), large language #AI models are our best shot to summarize an increasingly vast amount of content and gain a competitive edge via info asymmetry.

We are not talking enough about this use case, but it will become critically important for the portion of the workforce that is in a leadership position.

I spent 12+ h today experimenting with #dalle2, #stablediffusion, and #midjourney. It’s clear that each #AI model interprets the same prompt in radically different ways and has very different strengths. It’s also true that they are at very different stages of maturity. We’ll see.

2/ I wonder if the former disappoints because sci-fi like Star Trek has set the expectation impossibly high for human-computer interactions like the one offered by GPT-3, while there was zero expectation for something like Dall-E 2.

1/ It’s fascinating to see people reacting in dramatically different ways when they see for the first time two different incarnations of an #AI like #gpt3 and #dalle2. On average, the latter is jaw-dropping. The former, instead, is often disappointing.
