@mmmmmmpc The corpus of patents that exist today is more than enough to train a large language model to generate new patents. But filing a patent is a VERY expensive and long process. It involves lawyers and conversations with the inventors. I can’t imagine doing so in an automated way.

4/ If Cyberpunk 2077 can reach 1M players with an open but unmodifiable world (and not as realistic as VR could one day offer), how many people would use a VR holodeck?

1/ The development of #AI image generators, especially for #stablediffusion, is going so fast that we now have the “prompt-to-prompt” technique: a user can request a modification of the generated image by simply writing what to change and how (rather than via in/outpainting).

2/ I know this will sound far-fetched to most, but paired with an #AI focused on language transcription (see yesterday’s open source release of OpenAI Whisper), this is the foundation for a Star Trek Holodeck in a #VR environment.

3/ We don’t have the tech, yet, to build a real-world holodeck, but could build a virtual one if the community continues to develop at this breakneck pace. And, maybe, that will be the killer app for #VR.
